Kwame Senanu Afagbe, Esq., MCIMArb is an experienced legal practitioner with solid academic background and broad-based professional expertise in civil and criminal litigation, as well as alternative dispute resolution. His legal practice is distinguished by a deep commitment to justice, defence of human rights, procedural fairness, effective and timely resolution of disputes. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Ghana and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of London, equipping him with a sound interdisciplinary foundation for the practice of law.
He undertook his professional legal training at the Ghana School of Law, where he obtained the Barrister at Law (B.L) qualification and was called to the Bar in October 2015 as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana. Since his call to the Bar, he has acquired substantial advocacy experience and represented clients before various courts and adjudicating bodies.
In furtherance of his interest in non-adversarial dispute resolution mechanisms, he completed a Professional Executive Master of Alternative Dispute Resolution (PEM-ADR) from Gamey and Gamey ADR Institute. He also holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Human Rights Law and Practice from the University of Ghana, reflecting his engagement with rights-based legal frameworks. Additionally, he successfully completed a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Law and Development from the University of Ghana.
Complementing his legal and academic training, he earned an Executive Certificate in Business Administration from the Accra Business School (now University of Gold Coast), equipping him with practical managerial, leadership and strategic skills that enhance his ability to deliver commercially sound, efficient and forward-looking legal advisory services.
He is a member of the Ghana Bar Association, Institute of ADR Practitioners-Africa and the Center for International Mediators and Arbitrators (CIMA). His areas of legal practice include Criminal Law, Property Law, Human Rights Law, Family Law and Arbitration, within which he has consistently demonstrated effective advocacy, sound legal judgment and a pragmatic approach to dispute resolution.
He serves as the founder and Head of Chambers of Afagbe Law and Company (Selikem Chambers), where he provides legal representation, advisory services and strategic leadership. His practice is firmly grounded in the principles of professionalism, integrity, diligence and excellence.
