Lord P. Agbavor Jnr Esq., affectionately known and called Lord Percy, is an Associate with Afagbe Law and Company, having first joined the firm as an intern, then later as a pupil and transitioned as an Associate. His special interest spans Criminal Law, Human Rights, Corporate and Commercial Law, Dispute Resolution as well as Property Law. Under the able tutelage of Kwame Senanu Afagbe, Esq., Lord Percy has fast horned his interest in both criminal and civil litigations, having represented clients in high profile cases in various courts, including pro-bono cases. Lord Percy is deeply committed to legal reforms that guarantee human rights.

Lord Percy holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) Degree in Industrial Art from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of London after which he enrolled into the Ghana School of Law where he obtained the Barrister at Law (B.L) qualification and was called to the bar in October 2023 as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana. He is a member of the Ghana Bar Association. He also completed a Masters program in Corporate and Commercial Law from the University of Ghana.

Lord Percy has previously worked with the Afadzato South District Assembly, Central Tongu District Assembly and the Volta Regional Coordinating Council as Internal Auditor and Head of Internal Audit Unit. His depth of experience in auditing became a catalyst for him to serve as a member of the Audit Committees of various covered entities established under the Public Financial Management Act, including Peki College of Education, Peki Government Hospital, University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), Adidome Government Hospital and Keta Municipal Assembly. Lord Percy has authored arguably one of the best books on audit titled “Audit Infractions and Related Laws” which is presently on high demand nationwide.

Lord Percy currently serves as an appointee of the government to the Akatsi South Municipal Assembly. In his role, he provides pro-bono legal services to the Assembly, among other things. He is a member of the Justice and Security Committee and the Public Relations and Complaints Committee (PRCC) of the Assembly.

He is also a “Law Teacher” on “You and the Law” show which airs every Sunday on an Akatsi-based radio station, Kaleawo Fm. In a major legal revolution of the existing by-laws of the Akatsi South Municipal Assembly for effective local governance, Lord Percy is undertaking a comprehensive review of existing community by-laws through community engagements across the 28 electoral areas of the municipality to develop by-laws in response to contemporary and evolving issues.
